‘Brutal Grace’
In an old barn on the edge of Brighton, photographer Aurélie Lagoutte and stylist Leila Watts present Brutal Grace – a still life study where flowers and found objects interact with quiet tension. Here, petals unfold against industrial surfaces and light slips through the cracks in weathered walls.
Drawing on the raw beauty of the barn’s textures and the transient nature of flora, the series explores the space between stillness and decay – a celebration of seasonality, silence, and form.
Each composition holds a dialogue between softness and structure, reminding us that nature can thrive in seemingly hostile environments and reclaim its rightful space without asking.
